Christmas! It was a good one. Lots of good food, gifts, and rest. No snow, sadly (we’re breaking temperature records here, it’s been +5-10c lately!) but I’m sure it will come sooner or later.
This year I again knit some gifts -fingerless mitts for a friend and hats for the boyfriend’s parents. All seemed to be well-received.
Now I’m knitting a hat that has been in my queue forever -Gretel Beret by Ysolda Teague.
In addition to gift knitting, I’ve managed to finish a few other things. I uploaded the pictures to Ravelry, but Posterous is once again annoying the hell out of me so I refuse to upload the pictures here as well. Sorry. Anyone can see them all (including the Christmas presents) on my Ravelry page.
We made a big batch of vegan gingerbread cookies a week before Christmas and ate them all through the week. I think the last one was gone Christmas Eve. Very yummy! The recipe is from Puputyttö and Vohvelisankari. Otherwise I didn’t really bake anything -just bought a huge amount of vegan chocolates 😉 For Christmas dinner we made tofu in ginger sauce and a “ham” out of soy.
